Deinlein Distillerie this family of exhurberant expats, burst into our lives a number of years ago. They live at the top of the Minden just up behind us here in Tauranga, and have an exquisite copper still in which they make the most stunning array of eau de vie style  digestifs and aperitifs in the European manner, but using fruits strongly identifiable as New Zealand.  We use a number of the fruit liquers for post dinner drinks, and also find them invaluable in some of our cooking. The Nocino is something we encountered in both Italy and France, and which works as a pre or post dinner drink, on ice with a slice of lemon, and also as an addition to the beef sauce that Rick made in the Christmas series 2009.

We use their Tangelo liquer instead of Cointreau now, in our White Chocolate and Orange coffees that we serve at the restaurant.

Beautifully packaged, the bottles make a special gift. The bottles are all 500ml.
