Somerset Food are dishes, sauces and condiments, that are strongly associated with Somerset, either through the restaurant or with the cookschools, and which people are now able to purchase already prepared for dining at home.
They are not takeaways however! Do not ring us at 6pm at nite wanting a nice hot dish of duck or shanks, becos we will have to let you down.
This food is again intended as an extension to your home kitchen, something you keep in your fridge or freezer, to make cooking at home easier on those occasions, when you lack the time or inclination to do it all yourself from scratch.
But you will need to be organized and to order in advance – becos some of it will need to be defrosted in the fridge overnite.
All of it is prepped in the restaurant kitchen to exactly the same standards as we require for food served in the restaurant. There are no preservatives or other additives.
We prep on a daily basis, and will endeavour at all times to hold stocks of everything on the list, but ask that if you required something specially, that you give us at least 24 hours notice. (48 hours would be much appreciated!).
Orders received by midday of one day, will be dispatched the next working day. Orders received on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be sent on Tuesday.
- Bay of Plenty deliveries should arrive the next day.
- The rest of the North Island should take 2/3 days.
- The South Island will take 3/5 working days.
And freight charges are:
- Bay of Plenty $9
- North Island $15
- South Island $25
