We have been here at Somerset Cottage for over nearly thirty years, and in that time the restaurant has evolved and grown as our own knowledge and appreciation of the food and wine world has similarly developed.
The restaurant is a completely personal reflection of our own tastes, and we consider ourselves remarkably lucky to be able to cook and present the kind of food that we enjoy sitting down to eat.
The menu represents a mix of food, good modern food – modern in the sense that we pull on a wide range of references, and good in the sense that the focus is on the craftsmanship in the kitchen, and the quality of the ingredients that we source.
We aim to look after our guests – to welcome them and make them feel that their presence in our dining room matters to us.
